Welcome to Vinyl Factory Australia: Australia's newest vinyl record pressing plant.

At the heart of our operation are 2 fully reconditioned examples of the unique EMI type 1400 automatic press. During our setup phase we invested heavily in new services ( Steam , water, air and hydraulic) to ensure the most stable manufacturing envirnment. The plant has the capacity to manufacture over 3000 12” and 7” vinyl records per day.

Our mission is to produce not only the best records in the Southern hemisphere but also amongst the very best in the World. We believe we can achieve this because of our significant investment in modern services and the fully reconditioned type 1400 presses. The work on these presses was carried out by original EMI engineers and represents the culmination of decades of research and investment by EMI when vinyl records ruled the music industry.

Overall our manufacturing service includes mastering in the UK with a choice from a variety of specialist studios including our preferred supplier: the legendary Abbey Road studio in North London. Processing of the metalwork takes place at the Vinyl Factory Group’s main EFD facility at Portalspace Records in the UK. After testing the finished stampers are air freighted direct to the Sydney plant for pressing and sleeving.

Turnaround times are based on 15 working days from the receipt of your order provided that the original master, track listings and art work are complete.

Pricing is either based on our package prices or specific quotes. Both can be obtained directly from the pressing plant.

We are also able to offer split pressings of the same release simultaneously at both our UK and Australian plants for effective distribution across both hemispheres as well as short and long term storage in the UK and Sydney.
